Performance and Uses of Polyvinyl Alcohol Water-Soluble Film
Polyvinyl alcohol (PVA or PVOH) is a special high molecular polymer that is soluble in water, and can also be called a water-soluble “plastic”. Polyvinyl alcohol itself has excellent qualities such as solvent resistance, gas barrier, high transparency, antistatic, etc. PVA water-soluble film products are green and environmentally friendly materials, and have been recognized by national environmental protection departments in Europe, the United States, Japan and other countries. Third-party tests show that the biological oxygen demand (BOD) of polyvinyl alcohol is much smaller than that of starch. Biological tests show that polyvinyl alcohol is non-toxic and will prevent the growth and reproduction of microorganisms. It has no effect on solid waste treatment and environmental sanitation. Polyvinyl alcohol can be almost completely decomposed, and polyvinyl alcohol enters the soil and has the effect of improving the soil.
